Earl Grey Blends

Earl Grey Tea, flavoured with Bergamot, has been one of the unbreakable bastions of English taste for a very long time. However, what exactly an Earl Grey should taste like isn't quite so certain. Judging by our customers' choices, there must be an Earl Grey for every situation. So here are the ones you'll need:

• Classic Earl Grey   £2.19 /100g
  A mid-strength black tea base, with a naturally sweet flavour, and an abundance of bergamot scenting. The strong bergamot in this tea lends it a fantastically refreshing quality, and enables it to stand up to a drop of milk if desired.
• Earl Grey with Blue Flowers   £2.19 /100g
  A slightly less vibrant flavour than our Classic Earl Grey; the addition of cornflowers is not only for aesthetic effect, but also to give an openness and slight creaminess to the flavour.
• Earl Grey with Rose Petals   £2.19 /100g
  Beautiful dusky-pink rose petals are blended into this wonderfully calming and delicate Earl Grey; not a tea to drink whilst watching the rugby, but a good one to accompany a steamy novel in the bath: a bestseller for sure.
• Elizabethan (Jasmine) Earl Grey   £2.49 /100g
  Developed by the owner herself, with the scents of the Iford Manor garden in mind, this delicious Earl Grey has bundles of bergamot, blended with a little silver Jasmine green tea. Utterly sumptuous, and florally heady, reminiscent of warm summer evenings on the terrace.

  A great family friend has long blended her own tea; in fact their family have been blending their own tea for home use for a while back now. In their honour we blended this, a Smoky Earl Grey, which has proved popular with those who find Lapsang a bit strong, and Earl Grey a bit dull!

  Our oft-requested rose-scented black China tea is a classic in our range, with its lovely balance of rose and leafy-sweet tea. Good with milk, but equally charming without, it is a relaxing, uplifting & eminently classy tea.

  The smoky one. And boy is this smoky! Not for the feint hearted, but a delight for those with a penchant for zingy woodiness in a smoked tea. At its liveliest without milk, and more mellow with.

  Sweet black tea with ginger pieces and flavour, offering a sweet and rounded nose and refreshing flavour. Milk adds to the sweetness and brings through the warmth of the ginger a little more, but is by no means essential.

  Smooth and creamy in flavour. A delightful comforting tea with milk and a little sugar.

  One of our most popular blends, mid-strength black tea is expertly blended with sumptuous vanilla pieces and vanilla essence to create a smooth, creamy tea ideal with milk.

Masala Chai Spiced Blends

• Classic Masala Chai Spiced Blend   £3.89 /150g
  Cinnamon, cloves, ginger and cardamom deliver a punchy spiciness to this traditionally blended masala tea, which relies of a part-orthodox and part-CTC base for a combination of robustness and aromatic flavour.
  One of our top five most popular teas, and utterly irresistible when boiled up in a pan with half water, half full fat milk, and a spoonful of honey as the Indians do. (Of course, you can just brew it the normal way using an infuser or teapot).

  Blended by our expert, our Pepper Chai adds the fresh edginess of cracked peppercorns and roughly crushed spices to a blend of fairly strong Assam teas. A chai to enjoy with or without milk.
• Old Indian Spice Blend (caffeine free)   £2.99 /100g
